Your next report starts here.
Bring the data. Let AI shape the story. Export an editable Power BI project.
Source
Upload CSV or Excel, open a local SQL file, reopen a build plan, or paste columns. AI uses column types and aggregate statistics to design your report. Embedded rows are sent only when you export.
Model
Names, connection and the columns that will land in the fact table. Untick anything the report does not need — a narrow model refreshes faster and is easier to read.
Measures
Authored, not derived. The starter set below is generated from the columns you picked — edit freely, and add anything specific to this subject.
Pages
A page declares rows; the builder computes the coordinates and the page height.
cols is a count for an equal split, or comma-separated ratios such as 2,1.
Nothing is padded to fill a row.
Data notes & definitions
The page that answers "what am I actually looking at". Written per report — the starter rows below are generated from the choices you have already made, so they are true of this build. Rewrite them in the words your audience uses.

Output
The build plan is the durable artefact — commit it beside the report so the next revision regenerates instead of being hand-edited.

The zip contains a complete .pbip with its .Report and
.SemanticModel folders. Unzip it, open the .pbip in Power BI Desktop and
press Refresh. Generated models carry no data cache, so every table — Data Notes and
Definitions included — is empty until that first refresh succeeds. That is expected, not a fault.
